... Busy Busy Busy ...

Sorry, it has been a few days since I've said anything but I've been really busy. Dance started this week so I was doing that along with the piles of homework I get. I have to write a lab report by Monday ... I need to translate my spanish essay from english into spanish ... I have four pages of math problems ... I have to write down all of the vocabulary for the next chapter in latin ... I have to red a short story for english ... I have a test in history net week so I have to study for that as well.

Speaking of tests, I had two quizzes today. In my two languages. I had a quiz on the vocabulary from chapters 28 and 29 in latin and a quiz on "los paises hispanohablantes" or the spanish speaking countries today as well. The latin quiz was easy it was matching words to definitions, then give the definition of a latin word, and finally give the latin for a definition.

i.e. hair ~ crines

Then in spanish the QUIZ was four pages long. This is a quiz right ... I was thinking, "If this is a quiz how will I ever get through a test in one period." First she was asking questions like how many continents are there, how many of those continents have spanish speaking countries, how many don't, and where in the United States do they speak spanish? These were pretty easy. Of course they had to be answered in complete spanish sentences. This is simple enough, but for many kids in my class this is extremely difficult. Fortunately I am not one of them. The next parts were labeling maps. I had a map of Central America. I had to write the country and its capitol. The same for South America. Then we had Africa, and Indonesia. i didn't finish before the period was up and was a minute late to my net class. I didn't miss anything luckily.

I think I did pretty well, because I had studied the night before ... I was able to do this even though I had dance until 9:00 and homework in every subject. I noticed that I get homework in every subject a lot even though many students don't. It seems that I always get the teachers who like giving homework. A lot of people think that homework isn't worth giving. I personally like it because it reinforces what I learn each day making it easier to take tests and quizzes.

I know that this dance year is going to be hard. I am in the highest tap class. This means a fast pace and hard dance moves. I am in the second highest jazz class which means the exact same thing. My ballet isn't hard per se but it does make my legs hurt. I used muscles in my legs that I didn't even know existed.

I'm going to leave you for tonight ... unfortunate I know but true. Talk to you soon. Forever Conquering High School.
